The biggest solar flare of the new cycle just happened and I was lucky enough to catch it.

I did this with a hand held camera....

I managed to grab a quick image of a huge prominence on Friday. This is "easy" imaging. I just hand hold the camera to the eyepiece of the scope. No fancy cameras or imaging techniques.
